Wow... first person to spot the new Tuck and report it here?

Anyway, 115 is up. Go, read and comment. Laughing

Well, it looks like at least *some* of the folks calling Kelly are gay or think they might be.

And we've got this "Stephen" coming out to his folks.

Plus the Tuckers are out to find out that Kelly is out of the closet.

This will at least shake things up a bit. If nothing else, the bigots are going to have problems with deciding who to target.

And the policy that Dobson has just drawn up should add yet another factor to the mix.

It's like watching the 5:15 pull out of Dayton going 60 mph and 90 miles to Columbus while the 4:45 has left Cincinatti going 80 mph and 160 miles to...Columbus?

This calculated suspense is a killer. Smile

Just read it once so far, but...

- I guess Debbie and Lisa wearing Lisa's old wigs couldn't hurt, but unless they had an alternative in mind to escaping in Lisa's car if they were confronted, it's hard to imagine that the disguise would have done them much good. (Then again, they've pranked schools before at night, so they may have a protocol of sorts.)

- We still don't know, I guess, whether Sarah was a co-conspirator in that incident, but we learn here that Debbie doesn't think that she and Lisa could prove Sarah's complicity if they got caught. (Is that what Debbie had in mind asking for the restaurant receipt?)

- My first thought was that it's almost weird, given the immediate urgency of Tuck's situation, that Sarah's concerned about the long term at the school while Debbie and Lisa aren't. But of course she knows that Brian will be districted for McAllen in 1998-2002, barring a complete shutdown. (Sarah does presumably have political ideals that aren't high on Debbie's priority list.)

I read that and thought it out of character for Debbie to try and pad the expense account. But, DUH! of course, she's trying to get proof Sarah is in as deep as she and Lisa. And do you think Sarah knows she's trying? Do you think Sarah suggested whose drink can to place at the crime scene? Man! There is more intrigue going on than I can keep up with. I'm still back at the phone taps that were done for Debbie.
Somebody needs to summarize and make a check list.(hint, hint)

Debbie wasn't trying to "pad an expense account" in the usual sense; after all, she's self-employed -- there's no employer to reimburse her expenses. BUT she probably is always in the lookout for means to make her business look less profitable in the books, in order to pay less taxes. So, she's declaring non-business stuff as "business expenses".

I know a lot of people who do that, and many consider it no less than fair, because they happen to have business expenses that are hard to prove to the revenooers satisfaction.

I should have put quotes around the padding the expense account thing. I know it is common for self-employed people to look for deductions but to take them when their not yours is still legally and morally wrong.

Debbie has always been fastidiously correct in all her financial dealings.

I know it seems like a minor contention after she has broken and entered to destroy public property and falsly accuse another by planting evidence. But, after all, that can be justified as being for the greater good. Cheating on your taxes is a more personal affront to dignity.
I think Eric was right, she was trying to get over on Sarah and got trumped.
