OOooOOooh!!!!!

http://www.thinkgeek.com/pcmods/cables/6c9d/

But they're out.

Does anyone know where I could get single units of this sort? And what the darned things are called for Googling purposes? (no guesses; I can make my own guesses)

After some delay...

http://www.radioshack.com/sm-12vdc-toggle-switch-with-safety-cover--pi-2 062493.html

Also being five dollars each, not fifteen; though with no LED on the switch pole itself.

I wonder why an SPST switch needs *three* terminals.

Probably just RS using the same pic for an SPST switch and a SPDT switch.

The LED appears to be a true 12V LED, and I have taken it up to 18V without it burning out.

That's from the customer reviews of the switch on the Radioshack website, also the picture looks like there's an unlit LED embedded into the toggle. I don't know why Radioshack wouldn't mention the feature though.
