Hi!
I think this is the correct place to post this....

I started about a year ago writing my own Fanfic based on Charlene from Tucky Season! So far I am up to Chapter 18 and still going!!
I based it off the original version so it will follow that path, not whatever Ellen has dreamed up for the 'New Improved' version.
Like every fanfic, it has good points and bad, so far.
But at 340K I can't just post it here!! If anyone would like a copy to read/ comment on just e-mail me and I'll send what there is is so far!!
So far, I like the board!!

Yes, I'd like to read it, although it may have to wait a little, as I'm taking this month off to do NaNoWriMo again.

I think I can probably guarantee you'll be getting a missive from Ellen soon. Hold on to your hat!

You'll hear from me sooner than that...
Lisa, send me a copy - you should be able to figure out the email address without any problems, I think. If you'd like, I can take a editorial pass through it, and then put it up on my site, which can definitely handle a 400k story.

If Ellen approves, you can also post to BigClosetR.us/TopShelf where it might help turn on new fans to Tuck. Smile

Wow!!
How did I know this would get a response.....
Anyway, Ellen, You and I have talked about this and even corresponded about it, but when I send you e-mails, I don't get a reply... (Stupid IE6+)
Anyway, It isn't anywhere near done, but I will see if I can actually get it to go this time!!

Another member, Jean, sent a request for a copy, but her e-mail bounced!!! So if you read this, I need either another e-mail address, or you need to clean out your inbox!!
I'll see what I can do!!

Oh, Erin, thanks for the offer to post on Big Closet!!

Well, I clicked on your profile, Ellen, hit the e-mail button, dutifully copied and pasted EVERYTHING into that little box and when I sent it, I got a list of warning messages!!!
Go figure....

So, anysuggestions? When I try to e-mail from the scribbles page, that doesn't work either.

So-o-o-o-o-oo
I'm lost, and not been found...

This is not hard...

1) Go to my website & the mailto page - http://www.barkingduck.net/ehayes/mailto.htm

2) read through The Rules - you ARE responsible for them...

3) find email address

4) write it down on a piece of paper, or a Notepad window, or something.

5) open your email program

6) New message
6a) put the email address you copied into the 'To:' field
6b) put the message into the 'body' section
6c) if sending a text attachment, make sure it's in MS-DOS Text With Line Breaks before 'attaching' it
6d) send email

I've skipped a number of things that I think I can safely assume, since you won't be reading this if you haven't gotten to the website.

Ok Ellen,
I did have a 'Senior Moment' and sent the first batch in *.doc format....
Delete it!! I sent the second one in MSDosText. So that should work better!!
I just keep plugging along as the muse hits me... Somedays I write a lot and some days.... Well, I am certain you understand!
Happy reading!

So-o-o-o-o... Did anyone even recieve the unfinished story??
Not hearing anything is ALMOST worse than Ellen writing a scathing rebuttal!!
At least then I know someone actually saw what I wrote!!
And most importantly, they are thinking!!
Just thought I would drop a note!!

Have a Happy Holiday season!!

I wasn't one of the people who asked for a copy the first time. This time, I just sent you an e-mail asking for a copy. If I don't hear from you within a few days, I'll post here again, and let you know something isn't going right.

I've no idea. I certainly didn't have the writer assassinated...

Plausible! Entirely plausible, this denial!

Hi all,
The story didn't disappear... just on hold while 'life' got in the way......
When your youngest gets arrested twice in two months and ends up on probation in two states, your mind is not on the plight of poor Charlene!!
However, watching my son jump through the hoops of the legal system and BARELY keeping his butt out of jail, gave me a little more of an idea on how Charlene really would react when in a similar situation!!! So-o-o-o there was a little re-writing to do... Well, maybe a LOT of rewriting to do...
It is up to Chapter 19 and I have started posting the earlier chapters on 'Big Closet', thanks to Erin.

Now! If I can just write faster than everyone can read the chapters............ (Ellen has this problem with EVERY chapter of Tuck!)

Enjoy!

Lisa Elizabeth
