As a Tuck fan, I have enjoyed seeing each new Tuckisode as our esteemed authoress has posted the ongoing saga, but why not post Tucky Season and the other fanfics?

Unfortunately, I don't think we will be seeing Tuck on BigCloset. Ellen wants her PGP signature preserved when her stories are re-posted. Posting the stories at Big Closet would require reformatting the text in HTML. That invalidates the signature.

Actually, I believe the BigCloset crew went to the trouble of offering the plaintext files (*not* standard on BC) to satisfy Ellen's license requirements -- that is, that the PGP signature has to stay valid. So it's theoretically possible.

I believe that Ellen posted some early chapters of Tuck in Fictionmania also -- FM keeps the plaintext files by default, so it's not really a big deal to respect the PGP sigs there. I don't know the reason she stopped posting there; maybe it was just the bother of posting at two places, after she got her own site.

The first draft of Seasons was never considered "final" and never PGP-signed, and therefore never allowed for posting anywhere else. But the revised version IS PGP-tagged, so it would be possible to post it elsewhere, as long as the signature is kept valid. I think. If Ellen allows it.

Don't call me Shirley. You will surely make me surly.

Possible but not likely to happen. Yes, there are ways to post and preserve the PGP signature on BC. I used to do it with the regular Tuck saga but have not done it with Tucky Seasons.

No real reason, I just haven't asked Ellen for permission.

It's fine for Joyce to post the stories at BigCloset IF and ONLY IF the signature(s) are preserved. As she mentioned, there's not a problem doing that. I could feel justified in whining about it, if I didn't have about 22x the lack-of-round-tuit myself. She's welcome to put them up.

As for Fictionmania, I stopped putting them up because I skipped for a long while, and then had several dozen episodes to write cute lil' summaries for AND tag them appropriately, and I just did not want to do the work.

Likewise, I haven't updated my archive on Nifty in a while either.
