One of my favorite things about the Saga and Season of Tuck is that we often are graced with the music that is going on around Tuck and his friends. Not only do we often hear the title but also from time to time we are graced with Tuck and his friends actually singing the songs.

So am I the only person that has found it irresistable to gather up the songs form the stories and actually play them when they are played in the story? Or just sit around when you get in a mood similar to something that Tuck went through and play music from that point in the story to just relate and kind of ground out?

Personally I find that music and audio sensations in general is one of the most over looked of tools that authors have, but thankfully you do not over look it Ellen and use it to perfection.

Well, I didn't put them to play when reading, but I did bother to track most of the songs -- some I already knew, some I didn't. I even tracked up Modern English...

Don't call me Shirley. You will surely make me surly.

Maybe this will help?

http://tuckerspawn.fictioneer.org/index.php?t=msg&goto=1965&S=49 56fa102602affb7d064c57cd8e664c&srch=music#msg_1965 music of tuck thread

It wasn't easy to find; I was probably not using the best terms in my search, I guess. That thread, though, should be of interest, although it lists a lot of songs from the now-removed original version of Tuck Season, Wabbit Season, Tuck Season.

I thought about putting up a torrent, even; but that's Illegal and would hurt those poor artists in the RIAA, so I won't.

...

Haha, no, I'm just afraid of getting my ass sued off - which could be done in small claims court, lately.

On the other hand, if you feel like buying something legitimately, save the receipt for me; even writing lyrics has been construed as illegal copyright violation, and it'd be nice to show the lawyers pre-trial just how much extra income I caused them, because they might go away at that point.

Well, if not a torrent with the songs, how about a Pandora station?

'Cuz I don't know what that is, for one thing... *reads*

Here's why: (from their FAQ)

> Our music licenses forbid hearing a song or artist in a predictable way.
>
> Here are our primary licensing restrictions:
[...]
> * A Pandora station cannot play a playlist of only certain songs or artists: we must include a mix of similar songs and artists on each Pandora station.

So in addition to all the other bullshit I'd have to do (registration, etc.), I couldn't actually put up a playlist.
