I kept on thinking of how well the characters of the movie could fulfill some kind of proto-Tuck type universe, as if it were a splinter branch where things had gone very differently.
Lucas himself I could see as Tuck, Cappie I could see as Travis and so on and so forth. If I thought I could pull it off I really think it's be interesting to either have Tuck and cast meet the characters of the film or at the very least get their view of the movie somehow. I imagine that Tuck would have some harsh words about how unrealistic the conclusion of the film was and the rat boyz would have some premium pranks in mind for the jocks after how they humiliated Lucas over and over.
I'd love to hear the pack dissect the way Lucas gets dumped by Maggie, the cluelessness of Lucas in ignoring Rina, etc. The stupidity of darwinist fatalism when it comes to dating...
The hell of it is I could honestly see one of the teachers choosing to play the film in hopes of inspiring the students towards acceptance of others, much like people in the mental health field seem to think the Dream Team is a magic movie that will inspire people...

Uhm, what movie are you referring to? I've never heard of a film named Lucas, so none of this is quite making sense to me.
checks IMDB
Ah, I guess you mean this one. Well, not having seen (or heard of) the film even when it came out, I can't compare the two, but from the descriptions I'm not sure I see the connection.
Does anyone else who is familiar with the flick in question have any comments to make?

Yeah, that's the movie. It was on during one of those DirecTV "free previews" where they drag out all the old classic movies to try and entice you to subscribe to more movie channels. I couldn't help but see it through the eyes of Tuck, especially as he was during the first twenty or so chapters of the Saga. I was surprised at how raw some of the scenes felt to me watching it.
Don't be fooled by the packaging or the summaries, just see if you can track it down somewhere and watch it.
