Since I think I was getting spam from an email account with Jesi's name on it... and all the spam lately here has had Jesi's name on it... I was contemplating "killing" that account.

No offense to the person who was under that 'nym, but ... there's no longer a human in there.

If no one objects, I'll pull the trigger about American Tax Day.

Account "Jesi" posted another spam, within FIVE (5) minutes of the previous message.

Stunning.

I may not wait until Tax Day...

I second this also. Sometimes it is better to ask for forgiveness...

I'm not sure that the person who originally registered 'jesi' is around anymore. That account is now 'owned' by some spammer. Kill it. If the original Jesi returns she (or he) can register under a new name.

Having just had a wander through Geek City I noticed that Jesi was having this hacking problem 2 years ago as well. I wonder if they weren't killed off last time and have just been on a hiatus - see Forum Wierdness.

Late... but now dead.

Currently deleting all the bloody posts... and the 5 seconds it takes for each one is strangely excruciating. Ever notice that the faster the computer gets, the not-faster the actions get?

Thank you thank you thank you! thankyouverymuch!

That last barrage was beyond belief. Could we have been witnessing Skynet in its infancy? It really did seem to know it was about to be killed...

And in answer to your other question yes. I have noticed how computers have gotten progressively slower and slower over time. I blame the over-reliance on "higher" languages and interpeted code myself.

I don't know if you noticed the post I made a month or so back. The Jesi account is *constantly* logged in. I never logged in without that user being present.

Which led me to believe it was *way* too easy to hijack.
