In which the surprise from the previous episode is played out. Also, a bit more pig.

And go read the Tucknote. That's an even bigger surprise.

Tender breasts and nausea...

Ok, I'm going out on a limb. Tuck is either pregnant (and yes, it *has* to be ectopic with his anatomy) or something is making his body *think* it is pregnant.

Given his screwed up genetics, actual pregnancy may well be possible. Either parthogenesis or having some sperm producing cells somewhere near that ovary.

Of course, knowing Ellen, it's something even weirder, but lets run with pregnancy for now...

If it *is* pregnancy, I don't know *how* it could be carried to term. But from some stuff I vaguely recall about the possibility of implanting embryos in men, it may not be totally impossible.

On the other hand whether it could be carried to term or not, surgery *is* going to be involved at some point. This will thrill Tuck. Not.

And if it can't be carried to term, I bet Tuck is going to have trouble with "losing" it. It might be his only chance at a kid.

Which could have him willing to run significant risks to try to carry it to term.

Whichever way it would go, it'd be really messed up.

*snicker* just had an image of Tuck dealing with having a daughter (I figure with his genes, that's most likely). Might be an incentive to "come out" as Val at school. Especially if the district is one of the ones that lets teen moms bring the kid to school.

jerk: "Why don't you let the mother deal with the kid?!"
Tuck: "I *am* the mother."
jerk: "No fucking way."
Tuck: "Want to watch me breast feed her?"

(no, I don't think Tuck would make that last comment. But I but he'd have something)

... parthogenesis ...

"And, see," Tucker smiled nastily, "in a few years there'll be two of me. Then four. Then eight. Then-"

Mike interrupted, shaking his head, "No, dude, if you're actually reproducing asexually like that, then you'd still be popping off buds or daughter-clones or whatever, while the second generation is maturing. I mean, you weren't doing this when you were younger, so obviously it takes time."

"So, like, seventeen years or so until the next one starts budding?"

"What's the cycle time once you start producing?"

"How the fuck would I know?"

"Didn't you read the manual?"

"Fuck you gook," Tucker sighed.

I'd say that surviving one such incident (of pregnancy) would be the limit for Val. The risk to her health for a second incident would be huge! The resulting spawn (if it survived) would have Tu/Val's health problems cubed though so it would be unlikely to be any more viable than Tu/Val.

Of course I'm still leaning toward a period...

So, Tuck reproduces either asexually, or might possibly store semen from past encountersfor pregnancy. Does Tuck actually form a bud? Could Tuck hold the budding in a pouch like a kangaroo?

Well, yes. Since it's pretty much the *definition* of an ectopic pregnancy, it'd be risky.

Then again, I don't necessarily see Tuck wanting to do it again, just *not* wanting to "waste" the chance of having a kid.

The birth certificate would be *really* interesting. Tuck listed as both parents...

Can't be. Tuck lacks the required organ. Namely, the uterus. No uterus, no uterine lining to slough off.

Could be hormonal monthly cycle stuff, but given that if Val *has* been cycling, I'd think she'd have settled down by now, I'm inclined to rule that out as a cause. It could be a contributing factor.

Then again, I haven't checked the dates. If the nausea, etc has been going on for more than a week, that pretty much rules out a period as well.

You're right that the length of time of the illness fairly much rules out a cycle. One thing it could be is a tumor that is mimicking pregnancy. That is very apt to be the amorphous mass on one side of Val's abdomen.

If it's that, themn surgery is pretty much necessary.

But I bet they'll have a fun old time getting a surgeon consider who *clear* Val and the 'rents will be about what will happen to any doctor that decides to "fix" anything without asking first. Or who decides not to take a "no" for an answer.

Tuck's already suffering from one instance of that. And any doc who decided that taking out the ovary or "correcting" tuck's genitals was a good idea would have a *long* time to regret it.

(hmm. I do have to wonder a bit if Tu-Val would be receptive to having a vagina if he could keep his penis. Probably not, but it is an interesting thought)
