Well This if my first post and I'm intrested to discuss what happend from here.

Certainly the results of episode 96 point tucks body geneticly more in the Female camp then the male. While his identity is still sitting in the male camp.

I'm wondering how long it will take for the gang to put together the effect all the female hormones are having on the way tuck acts and for mike to push tuck to bring up the topic of valerie with shiela.

I'm also wondering if the story is soon about to split. I always got the impression from ellen that the story was going to go on till atleast the end of High school. However I'll be curious to see if there is a change in gender identity for tuck if that brings this story to a close.

HOwever I see a new story that picks up from when tuck becomes Val. That in intself is another long story that needs telling.

So any bets on how quickly things start moving now that the secret to tucks genetics is out?

First, I do not think that the pace of the Saga will change. I believe that Ellen intends to take Tuck at least through high school. And this means that Tuck needs to finish the current year and the next. (this raises an interesting question as to those in Europe and else where, as to your understanding of the American school system.) But I think there are many tales to be told during this time frame, and it will take many more chapters.

It could be Mike that put pressure on Tuck. But I would like to suggest that it also might be Kathy, since she is the biggest and most knowledgable of medicine and of Val. But if Tuck is to move out of the male camp, it will probable be an effort by the whole group rather than one individual. I just see a lot of time passing before there is a decision made one way or the other. For Tuck to change the way he preceives himself, as very deeply male, will be a major effort. Core beliefs do not change easily.

As to revealing Val to Sheila, I almost despair that Tuck will ever do that. But it just might slip out of Val's mouth to the pack that Shiela does not know about Val's relation to Travis, and this would cause them to begin to insist that Val tell all.

Well just some random thoughts.

Sometimes I'm sure that Ellen must feel a little like Tuck has become a parasite leeching off all of her spare energy so he can continue to live. Being a writer involved in a really long project can sometimes feel like that.

I do seem to remember once Ellen mentioning plans to continue the story through at least Halloween of this current story school year. That's not far away.

Just wild guesses, but i think this story might be able to make it through tuck's senior year of highschool. the biggest question is how long the story could go and still be intersting. the next one is how long will the story be about tuck hiding val and trying to keep the two sides of his life seperate. also, ellen has been stepping up the amount of story in tuck's abuse. I look forward to seeing that become even more imortant as the storoy progresses. and well into the time when tuck is merging his lives.

how long untill tuck starts coming out? 3-5 months
how long after that untill tuck transitions? about 3 months
how long after that untill tuck is settled in? until he graduates highschool.
he'll probably change schools, but even there, the roumors would find him. tuck's family would have to move.

just my oppinions as of now.
