I was getting spammed at the rate of about once every ten minutes or so, starting Tuesday. Same damned place too. I don't know why they decided to hammer my site, and I suspect I wasn't the only one they were hammering - that would account for the ten minute cycle.

Anyway, as a burning house often will, it got me a bit motivated, and I turned off the guestbook stuff on my site. It didn't motivate me enough to change everything I need to, though, to make the guestbook usable again; that's going to take some work, ick!

Rest assured, though, I INTEND to put the thing back in operation, with at least something to keep the spam out. All those who have sent me ideas, rest assured; I DID save your emails, and I am going to be rereading them, and asking around for other ideas. For the rest of you: now is really not the time to deluge me with stuff you've heard about; I want to see what I can do with the ideas I've already got, and it's going to be hard enough to do them, I certainly don't need fifty more.

No progress. That's how my life has been going lately, I guess.

i have noticed that it seem that there is an episode "stuck" in proofing,

would it help you to have more people willing to proof for you?

Not really. Problems are within me, not external.

However... check the site today (Sunday) or tomorrow.

Changes are uploaded to the site as of ten minutes ago. Unfortunately, I also took the time to upgrade the site server by a minor version number... and the uploaded pieces are not being served by the webserver there. I suspect some hideous latency dealing with copying things and changing servers and so forth. The changes are there, so sayeth FTP and my shell access... I just don't know when they will become 'visible' to anyone else. *sighs*

Is there any chance you can tell us what the changes actually are? If it's just a fixed guestbook and a new note, I can be semi-patient. If it's a new chapter of either part of the story, my reaction at this point is cancel all plans and hit reload every fifteen minutes. (New chapter to the main story, every ten minutes.) Smile

My pardon. It's "just" the guestbook changes and some new notes. At least for now...

And, the name is resolving at this time to the correct address, which is showing the new files.

Work continues...

I don't think you actually need my pardon for anything, but it's yours if you want it. Thanks for the update!
