What would happen if Tuch was to visit a few of the establishrd universes in T.G. fiction? Such as Whately Academy, M.I.B.D. and others?

Well, he HAS, a few times...

Ellen herself did two of the cross-overs:

- The rather long "Tuck Season, Wabbit Season, Tuck Season", where Tuck goes to Seasons Manor, home of the "Seasons" saga.
- A short story (written as a follow-up/part of the "Tuck Season" above) in which most of the gang (minus Debbie) visit Bikini Beach.

Alas, both stories have been pulled from the Web pending substantial rewrites. Ellen has posted a few chapters of the revised "Tuck Season," but so far that's it.

I remember a short fanfic in which Tuck wanders into the Spells 'R Us shop. I think it can be found in Ellen's page.

No, "Bikini Beach: All Tucked Up" is still on Ellen's site, as of five minutes ago, listed with the fanfics.

Erin's "SRU: Tuck and the Wizard" is there also.

There's also a suggestion, in one of Bek D. Corbin's Jordan Winters stories, that one of Dan's RPG groups includes that world's version of Book, Mike and Tuck.

I think that's more of a "homage" by Bek than an "alternate version" of the characters -- while the names are (about) the same, they behave too differently from the "regular" characters.

There's a Valerie that works at Whateley as the secretary for Dr. Hayes. The same story mentions a Debbie Carstairs working in administration. It's Hart's "Time for an Unexpected gift."

Looking at the story now. I note that Dr. Hayes is Katherine Hayes, not Ellen.

Hmm. Debbie versus Mrs. Hartford. Could get interesting.

Heyla

That was meant more as a nod or acknowledgment, not a direct correlation. The whole-cloth rendering of Debbie's name was due to my being forgetful, not a closer connection between a teen-aged, shrewd American businesswoman and a middle-aged, persnickety English matron.

...of course, I do have to fight the urge to let them slip closer together once someone pointed out my slip-up, for that reason. -g- It helps that all future references have notes to use either the first or last name in the passage, not both at the same time or in the same stretch.

I've been reading through the SPA universe and wondered if Tu/Val might get tapped as a computer expert for that organization?

(S)he certainly has most of the paranoia/spy-games down to a science.

And give the place one heck of a headache as his parents and friends as well as Tuck/Val would not go for the breaking of all ties to his former life

Well it's mostly too late for Tu-val to be a student. And as noted by Stanman, the breaking all ties is a non-starter.

On the other hand, sneaking him/her in as an undercover agent to track down a problem might be interesting.

Or a few years from the current point in the regular Tuck timeline (or the Tuck Squared one) could have tu-val at either of the schools as an instructor.

Obviously it'd be the one in the US for the regular timeline and the one in the UK for the Tuck-Squared timeline.

On the SPA universe I just had an interesting thought... Is it the family or Mike that Tuck would not break ties with?

If it is the later what would have happened if Tuck had been invited to attend the USA school with Mike as a study partner?

Would he have attempted to escape?

Gone with the program?

All interesting as he would have been picked up at 9-10 years of age which would predate the current saga by 6 years or start about '91

Knowing Bill and Sarah, would they ALLOW for Tuck's abandoning of family ties? When they learned about the school, what would happen?

Hmm... They would have postal mail and it is reasonable to assume that Tuck would have hacked the computer system to send e-mail. I think that as long as the family assumed that Tuck would return at 18 nothing would happen. I think that depending on what Tuck felt about discovering that ain't so he would either escape or stay and not tell his parents that he never intended to return to home.

Further I expect that unless he came entirely clean with his parents about his reason for escaping he would immediately be returned to the school. His parents are big on fulfilling contracts.

What about Debbie? Does she have means to cause trouble, if she wants?

Are you replying to my last message? If so I have come to the conclusion that you do not read at all.

If Tuck were to end up in the SPA universe it would be before he met Debbie. Unless he ends up there as a consultant after he graduates college.

In either case Debbie is out of the story...!!!!

My supposition is that this happens about same time as Tucky Season. Yes, it is common to get students when younger, but Tuck's computer genius had yet to be established.
