Real life has once again caught up to Tuck Time, and we are now plus 13 years to the Saga.

I don't follow. How do you figure we're caught up?

I guess she meant that the latest Tuck Saga chapter (142) ends during November 28, 1997. So the Saga is now thirteen years in the past. Or, in another way to look at it, considering each year as a cycle, like laps in a racetrack, real time has lapped the Saga 13 times.

Unavoidable, I guess. Even if Ellen did nothing but write Tuck (which she can't -- there's such things as eating, sleeping and earning money to pay the bills that take a lot of one's time), the story would lag behind the "real world." Good writing is more than a blog.

Makes sense. It just struck me strange when I read it.

Well technically she could write Tuck in "real time" but then we'd get hundred word posts as "chapters" and those don't usually make much of a story in the short term and waiting for them to buffer would result in what we have today, so why not cut out the middleman? Wink

That's what I meant by good writing being more than a blog. You can blog real-time, but writing takes time.
