I'm hoping nothing unfortunate has happened to Ellen since it has been three months since the latest chapter.

I've become more and more concerned about this myself, but we've gone long periods without updates before. I have to believe she is simply too focused on Real Life (TM) to waste a single second dealing with us. The alternative is simply too depressing to think about.

There's also the writer's problem: where does the story go next? For a writer who records the story as it unfolds (a 'discovery writer' as opposed to one who makes detailed plans of the characters and plot beforehand), getting the main protag into a quasi-stable situation can pose a problem. This may be where Ellen is with in both the main Saga and Seasons v2.

I'm hoping that this is the problem, in probable conjunction with Real Life(tm).

Ellen and myself seem to be on different comms cycles so we are only occassionally talkative at the same time. But I am hoping everything is OK too.

I've heard from Ellen. Nothing horrible has happened.

That's good news, I guess. Not as good as hearing she won the lottery and is too busy figuring out how to invest the money to have time for writing, but better than the opposite.

Don't call me Shirley. You will surely make me surly.

That's why, in 2002, I predicted that tuck would end by the end of October. It seems I was off by a month or so... unless Ellen keeps writing out of spite. Maybe I should make another prediction just so she can embarrass me again.

At least Tuck Season has more of a potential arc. Even if I'm not totally convinced I know where it's going, we have a ticking clock. All Ellen really has to do is fill time till the end. Alternatively, she could do like chapter 13 and cover 29 days in one chapter. Couple chapters like that and tuck will have his Libretto before we know it.
