Yeah, this is just pure fan wishing, but what would make a satisfying ending for the Tuck Saga--for you?

easy. a nice gradual ending. go into it slowly, address all of tucks problems along the way. if tuck transitions, it will go through all the problems with that, tuck adjusting to it, and everyone around adjusting to it too. most of us know that dificulties of that. a more interesting ending, would be tuck maintaining that he's IS and not correcting that "mistake". There would be a lot of dificulties and it would be interesting to see how tuck reaches a ballence between the two. and i think thats the big thing. tuck will need to reach a ballence between the two sides of his life. and things will go back and forth for a while before they settle to some norm. i don't see it happening before summer (tuck's timeline). as for the situation with travis. he'll find out things, there will be a conflict of some kind, he'll get over it, and the two will come together, with the conflict either permanently scaring thier relationship and it will never be feasible again, or it will draw them closer together and they live happily ever after. travis is a peach, i think the two of them will be fine. who knows when they both go off to college. maybe ellen will do the flash forward thing. i dont think thats the best way to end it. but it would be nice to know what happens to tuck in college, even if it isn't a day by day. then when tuck comes back from college, what kinda career he gets into. i don't think any of us could be happy without a "where is he now" sorta episode at least. ellen would have to take it up to the present day.

however a darker ending, if tuck died. i don't think ANY of us want to see that happened. but that's a very real possiblility. tuck dies, then one last episode telling how everyone reasts to it. da boyz taking out whoever caused it. unless it's just a medical thing. if tuck died, there would be trears around the world. and in classic romantic liturature, the main character HAS to die. luckily, ellen doesn't seem the romantic type. so, i think we are all united in saying, "PLEASE DON"T KILL OFF TUCK"

so, what i personaly hope for. tuck bounching back and forth between his two sides for a long time until finaly striking a ballence and we carry tuck through to the present day and we find out where tuck is now. then we could all relax and feel he's safe and shed a tear of joy for tuck. it must end with us feeling like there's nothing more to say. (if she leaves us anything to debate, we'll have to track her down and "get some answers from her")

Well, given Ellen's penchant for doing the unexpected, what we say here just might alter whatever plans she might have yet again.

That said, I think that the story will 'end' at high school graduation. It's a very logical time to end. And, by that time, most of the issues will have gotten sufficient discussion.

From there... anyone's guess. Tuck in college would be interesting. Tuck after college could be a lot of fun. For one thing, I really don't think Tuck knows what he wants to do when he grows up. Frankly, he's had other things on his mind, like what he wants to BE when he grows up.

Before everyone jumps on me for 'missing the obvious', what Tuck does with computers, etc. can be a career, but Tuck really hasn't thought about that much yet. Yes, he has great talent and skill, but he hasn't really expressed much interest, especially lately, preferring child care to the help desk. At one time he might have thought it a given, wanting to follow in his father's footsteps, as it were. With the other changes going on, that may change as well. It already has to a certain extent.

Tuck might decide that music has a greater call. Or, how about Tuck as a psychologist? With Tuck, almost anything is possible.

One reason I asked this question is we are rapidly approaching two milestones in the Tuck Saga. Episdode 100 and the Anniversary of Valerie: Halloween. Yup, soon it will have been a year, story time, since Tuck first dressed as Valerie.

Anyone got a clue as to what Tuck is going to go as this year? Smile

the obvious thing everyone is going to say so i might as well get it out is that tu-val will simply go as val. maybe as a certain type of girl. like maybe a sexy geeky girl, i'm sure that would be what people are thinking, and it would be very amusing. but i don't know.

big thing, travis, he went out last halloween, and he'll probably take val to a party this year. so, he'll need something for a party together. i see maybe another fairytail theme. travis wearing a sword again would be a fun idea.

maybe tu-val would try a reversial thing, make travis dress as the girl, maybe have tu-val dress as a basketball player or something.

i don't know, there arn't many things clues yet. it's still really early. and travis and val's relationship is kinda uncertain right now. we don't know how close they are going to be by then. it's starting to get to the point where they need to come clean and make a real relationship out of it. become true freinds. but i'm not sure how that's goign to work. we'll just have to see.

I'm sure there will be more clues in the coming weeks. we've still got a month, and a night out watching stella to look forward to. a lot can happen in a month. tuck didn't have the costume idea for last year untill 4-5 days before it happened. we'll see.

Well, since we are talking about Tuck, I think that he should play a female part again. It's the opposite of what he feels his nature is/should be.

My personal choice is to dress Tuck up in sailor fuku (the sailor suit type uniforms popular with Japanese middle and high schools). There are some really cute ones in the anime of the period.

How about Tuck dressed as Saint Tail? Or Pretty Sammy?

Whatever it is, it should make Tuck feel conspicuous and somewhat uncomfortable regardless of whether in Tuck or Val mode. Otherwise, it wouldn't be quite so much fun.

Yeah, but without Debbie, who's going to make that happen?

Not Travis, thats for sure. Hasn't got the imagination, and certainly not the chutzpah.

No, I think whatever Tuck goes as, it'll be of Tuck's own choosing, and the way things are going recently it's probably going to be as something quasi-military.

mike, amy, jack, shiela, dana, and dave i think would be a fun option.
mis parker i'm sure could have ideas, maybe she'd want val to take ricky trick or treating.
travis and his freinds could come up with something. maybe a theme party. anne hasn't been in the story for a while. i look forward to her return next holloween.
deb could come up with a theme for the group. with everyone else going along with it, val would too.

and i wouldn't discount tuck for being a source of inspiration. we saw in tuck season that tuck can be VERY creative when the mood strikes. be funny for tuck to sew a holloween costum.

*scratches head* Hmmm, could be. What if Mike conspired with The Pack? With that combination, 'most anything could happen and I doubt that Tuck could stand up to that combined force.

It would also be a somewhat tacit way of Mike letting Tuck know that however he turns out, that it's okay. But that's a different discussion.

'Sides, Hallows e'en is a time for fun. Why not go all out?

Now what would be fun creative and doable for Valarie on Halloween ? Hmmmmmmmm. . . . perhaps since. . .
#1 most of her friends are female (the pack)
#2 Valarie loves to sing and some of the pack do also
#3 Valarie and the pack love to dance
#4 A recreation of a Girl Group/Band would be easy, fun and exciting as well as giving them a chance to dress outrageously and ham it up in harmony all just for fun to start
#5 maybe a karoke suprise for Valarie and friends Smile could be a viable possibility . . .
Maybe a Haloween that drifts to the club. . and a bit of encouragement or perhaps a dare or maybe a challenge. . . how about a contest !!! now what would the prize be to the winners ? A spot in a band maybe or a date with a desirable person. . . maybe free tutoring of musical insturments of their choice. . maybe a star search type thing. . . and Travis getting caught cheating with Valarie running into Jack while in emotional turmoil. . . such fun speculating on what if's. . .
