For informed speculation there's a recent book The 7 Sexes: Biology of Sex Determination, Elof Axel Carlson, Indiana University Press, 2013. Kindle edition is ~$25 with tax.

It seems that there may not be any more tuck... I know times are hard and that a story that has been in hiatus for several years (as the main saga has been) tends to be hard to restart...

I wish Ellen much happiness and success and wish to encourage her to continue Tuck (even for just one more chapter to wrap it up...)

At this point (through #133), as far as we know Bill and Sarah don't know that the Parker adults are now aware of Tuck/Val's gender issues.

It seems to me that it's counterproductive not to let Bill and Sarah in on that. One of their fears (Bill's, anyway) is that discovery by the Parkers could lead to some form of legal liability for the Tucker family, along with potential criminal trouble for Tuck.

Knowing that the situation has been defused and that an MAD situation exists there (involving Beth's sister) can't hurt anything and ought to lead to Bill more positively reassessing the whole issue of Valerie's employment.

(And if things are about to go public at school, as seems possible after the bowling incident, Bill may need all the reassurance he can get.)

Eric
